Message from Campus Principal, Term 1, Week 15

Dear Senior School parents,
December is a short month because of our holidays but it is also an event-filled month as we approach the end of 2017.
We had a very fruitful session with parents who attended the very informative second Coffee Morning. It is our intention that we can provide you with more understanding of our programmes and forge a strong home-school partnership with you.

On Thursday, thirty students and teachers travelled to Jiaxing, Zhenjiang province to visit our friends at Taishi School. It was like the meeting of old friends. Going back to the familiar school grounds and seeing the students and teachers brought back pleasant memories of our very first visit and also helped to strengthen our ties.
Santa’s Workshop will also come to a close on 8 December (Friday). The sweet lingering aroma of popcorn and the warmth of a hot chocolate drink brought droves of students and teachers as the PSG opened their doors to Santa’s workshop yesterday. A big thank you to all students, parents and staff for supporting yet another charity drive initiated by the PSG for Ming Ming, our Shining Star beneficiary.
Please be reminded that on 13 December (Wednesday) is our annual Staff Christmas Party and all students will be dismissed at 2pm on that day.
Coming up in January are important academic-related dates for our students and parents. More information will be shared when we return but in the meantime, please mark these dates on your calendar:
Jan. 20 Grade 8 and Grade 10 Parents Course Selection Info Session
Jan. 24 Grade 6 Parents Transition Session
Jan. 30 Grade 6 Students Visit to Senior School

Student of the Week

LIM, Yuan Sheng Amos G7 Ruby 2
LIM, Yuan Sheng Amos is a conscientious student who has made excellent progress on his new instrument this year. Already a skilled string player, Amos has taken to the saxophone and his skills are improving rapidly. Within a short period of time, he is able to play scales and songs with great tone and articulation. He always has a positive attitude and shows a willingness to listen and learn. We are looking forward to having him as a new member of the ASP Orchestra and look forward to hearing future performances!
