Message from Campus Principal, Term 2, Week 4

Dear Senior School parents,
A warm welcome to this brand new year of 2018. We hope that you and your family have been recharged during the holidays and your child is poised to learn and take on the challenges in his/her learning journey here at SSIS.
We have good news. SSIS received our candidate status for CIS Re-Accreditation. This marks the beginning of the next phase of our accreditation process over the next 18 months. We look forward to reviewing the recommendations so that we continue in our strive for excellence.

We are happy to inform you that as part of our staff development, middle managers of all divisions will be taking part in a professional development course on peer coaching this Saturday by expert Stephen Barkley so that we can harness the expertise of our members of staff in order to enhance the teaching and learning at our school. This training will then be rolled out to all staff over the course of this month and then be practised by all staff from this term onwards.
Over the next few days, you will be receiving information from our Coordinators regarding Grade 8 and Grade 10 Course Selection Talks which will be happening on 20 January (Saturday).
In addition, Grade 6 parents will be invited to attend a transition info session so that they can have a better understanding of the happenings of Senior School, walk around the school, ask questions from teachers and students and even enjoy the lunch as your child would. Please click on this link to sign up and reserve a seat.
